Digital chess clock: Fischer mode, 40 minutes + 30 seconds increment per move
(If no digital clock is available: analog clock, 40 moves in 1 hour + 20 minutes sudden death)
3. Tiebreaks
No tiebreaks will be used.
Awards will be given separately for the Open Class, Class A, and Class B.

Kaderu 2.7, Room 1010
Kita 2 Nishi 7, Chuo-ku, Sapporo
(10‑story building across from the main entrance of the Hokkaido University Botanical Garden)
About a 15‑minute walk from JR Sapporo Station.
5. How to Apply
Please apply by the day before the tournament (Friday, July 17, 2026) using the form below:

The number of registered participants will be updated on Chess-Results.com.
Participation fee: 2,000 yen (students: elementary, junior high, high school, university, and graduate students pay half price).
Please pay at the venue on the day of the event (exact change appreciated).
6. Eligibility
Japan Chess Federation (JCF) membership is required.
Since this is an official JCF tournament, please ensure you are registered beforehand.
If you cannot register as a member, you may still participate by adding an extra 2,000 yen to the participation fee.
7. Other Notes
- Participants who own a digital chess clock are requested to bring it.
